This week, we’ve been celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week. Our infant classes had an assembly from Miss Dixon and our junior classes had an extra special visitor. Lisa, from BlueJay Wellness, spoke to the junior classes about how to connect with others and why our connections help our own and other people’s mental health and well-being.
In our house meetings, we created jigsaw pieces that celebrate how we all connect as a school community. These will soon be on display for all our children to see.

Children’s Mental Health Week 2023
Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 will take place from 6-12 February 2023. This year’s theme is Let’s Connect.
Let’s Connect is about making meaningful connections. People thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing. When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing.
During the week, we’ll have a special assembly from Bluejay wellness and we will be having a particular focus on connecting with each other during house meetings that week.
Infant Christmas Party
Here are a few photos from this afternoon’s infant party.
Infant Nativity
The children form Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed in ‘A Miracle in Town’. All the children were brilliant as they sung, narrated and acted out the story of The Nativity. Well done infants, we are all very proud of you.
Year 2 Odd Sock Day
Today Year 2 celebrated Odd Sock Day to raise awareness of Anti-Bullying Week. We wore odd socks to demonstrate that we are all different and unique, which is great! This year’s theme was ‘Reach Out’ and we discussed who the children could talk to if something was making them upset. The children ended the day by designing their own odd socks whilst reading the book ‘Odd Socks’. Take a look at some of the jazzy socks the children wore!
Infant Monster Ball
The infant children had a very spooktacular night at the Monster Ball on Tuesday! Don’t they look scary?!
SEND/Family Support Coffee Afternoon
