Y3 Masked Readers on World Book Day!
The Y3 children enjoyed a unique World Book Day that involved children learning in school and at home. Children designed masks that represented one of their favourite books and took part in a wide variety of Literacy activities. One of the activities involved learning writing tips from famous authors; I’m sure many of our Y3 children will go on to become fantastic writers in the future!
Y3 Keeping Creative & Active!
Y3 have worked incredibly hard this term in all of their subjects and Miss Moffett and I are extremely proud of you all! Here are some images of the children being creative and active at home and in school. Enjoy your half term with your families!

Y3 Festive Fun!

Merry Christmas from Year 6
We’ve had a very busy first term to Year 6. We hope you enjoy the photos of your children enjoying themselves at their party. We would like to thank you for all the cards, gifts and well wishes. We hope you have a lovely Christmas.
Mini-beast Puppets
Year 2 have had an exciting few weeks in Design and Technology designing, planning, creating and evaluating their very own puppets! Our science topic of Living Things and Their Habitats helped children choose the theme of the puppets as mini-beasts.
Our unit has allowed children to research different types of puppets and look at the origins of some of the more common puppets we see today. Children loved the history behind famous puppets such as Punch and Judy and The Muppets!
They did a great job planning the design they wanted to make and thinking about the materials they would like to use (some rather imaginative I must say!) 🙂
Before we were able to create our masterpieces though we had to actually MAKE the puppet, by sewing together fabric using a running stitch. I’m sure you’ll agree they all did a fantastic job as lots of them had never even threaded a needle before so I was very impressed 🙂
Enjoy looking through our photos, the puppets will be winging their way home to you very soon!
Reception Christmas Party
Reception had a wonderful afternoon yesterday at their Christmas party. We danced, played games and ate lots of party food! Don’t we look beautiful?!
