Reception (and staff) had a brilliant day at Hall Hill Farm yesterday. They got to go on a very bumpy tractor ride, feed the animals, hold rabbits, guinea pigs and chicks and even bottle feed a lamb. Of course the highlight of the day was lunch, which we enjoyed together in the barn! The children were so beautifully behaved and loved every second of the day. It was such a lovely way to end our year together. Also, a big thank you to our lovely parent helpers.
Year 2 at Hall Hill Farm
Year 2 have had a fantastic day at Hall Hill Farm. We started with a look at some of the animals on the farm and feed the llamas, alpacas, sheep and goats. The children then handled some of the smaller animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits.
We also enjoyed a very bumpy tractor ride around the farm and had the chance to handle some chicks and feed a lamb. We ended our fun filled day with some time in the play park. Year 2 were very well behaved today and Richard (our guide) was very impressed with our wealth of farm animal knowledge. What a fantastic end of year trip we have had!
Year 1 at Hall Hill Farm
Year 1 have had a fun filled day at Hall Hill Farm. We started with a look at the animals around the farm. The children then got the chance to feed some of the sheep and lambs.
We also enjoyed a very bump tractor ride and handled some of the smaller animals such a chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits.
Y3- Parachutes, Ice Creams & Playing Together!
The Y3 children enjoyed an adapted trip to Marine Park, after our beach event was unfortunately cancelled. The children had fun playing parachute activities, team building games and other fun sports. The morning was topped off with a trip to Minchella’s for a well earned ice cream. The children were a credit to themselves throughout the trip!
Year 6 Lightwater Valley
We had a fantastic day at Lightwater Valley on Friday. The children enjoyed the sunshine and being daredevils on the rides.

Our Year 6 class enjoyed an unexpected visit from an ice-cream van thanks to Vision Education.
Year 4 Art
In Art, the children have been learning about Gustav Klimt and studied some of his pieces.
The children used the ideas of Klimt’s intricate detail and use of ‘Zentangles’ and re-created one of the patterns from the portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer. They then created a relief by making this pattern 3D by using rice.
Next the children will embellish their patterns using foil to replicate the metallic look used in Klimt’s work.

Year 4 Science – Invertebrate Hunt
As part of our Science: Living Things and their Habitats, the children explored the areas of the school grounds to complete an invertebrate hunt.
The children used pots with a magnifying glass to look closely at the different creatures and followed a classification key to identify what type of invertebrate it was. We discovered the best place to find a range of habitats and creatures was on the school field next to the trim trail. The children had a great time exploring and managed to find a broad range of invertebrates on their hunt. 
Year 6 Hoodies
Year 6 were over the moon as their hoodies arrived this morning!
