Reception had a wonderful afternoon yesterday at their Christmas party. We danced, played games and ate lots of party food! Don’t we look beautiful?!
Virtual Christmas Concert 2020!

Reception Visit Santa
Reception have had a very exciting start to December! We visited West Boldon Lodge and played games in the woods, built a campfire, toasted marshmallows, made Christmas decorations, drank hot chocolate and even got to meet Santa! It has really got us in the Christmas spirit!
Mega-Beasts Visit Reception
Reception have had some very interesting visitors this week to start off their topic all about minibeasts. Guy from BugsnStuff brought in some Mega-Beasts for the children to look at, touch and hold including a snake, a tarantula, a cockroach, stick insects, a millipede, a frog and a lizard. They children were very brave indeed!
Road Safety Workshop in Reception
Today the children took part in a very important workshop all about how to cross the road safely. We learned some actions to help us ‘Stop, look, listen, think!’ and practiced crossing a road using traffic lights.
Reception visit the Post Office
Reception walked to the Post Office this morning to post their letters to Santa.
Children in Need 2019
Reception have had a very exciting day raising money for Children in Need. They took part in Joe Wicks ‘Big Morning Move’, the annual ‘Duck Race’, wore Pudsey ears and bought cakes and raffle tickets!
Stranger Danger talk from the Police
Reception have had a very exciting afternoon learning all about ‘stranger danger’ and even got to try some outfits on – including handcuffs!
A Spooktacular Day in Reception!
Reception have had a very exciting day getting dressed up for Halloween! We had a go at carving out pumpkins, making spider webs and ended the day with a fantastic disco!
Handwashing session in reception
The school nurses came into reception to talk about the importance of washing our hands. We listened to a lovely story, sang a song and talked about when and how to wash our hands properly.
