In RE, Year 4 have been learning about Reconciliation. Some of the children have been preparing for their First Reconciliation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation celebrates the fact that we are loved and forgiven by God and that when we say sorry to one another and experience forgiveness we are experiencing God’s forgiveness.
We all know that God loves us and is always ready to forgive us, no matter what. His love for us is unconditional. The children wanted to share this unconditional love and friendship with their families and friends in our ‘Lost Sheep’ Reconciliation Liturgy.

Year 6 had the pleasure of inviting their parents into school to watch their class liturgy.
It was great to have everyone back into the school to enjoy a time of worship, reflection and prayer.
The children did a great job and particularly enjoyed the juice and biscuits afterwards!![]()

Last week 12 Key Stage 2 children took park in a musical performance called, ‘Footsteps into Paradise’ in Durham Cathedral. The performance was an immersive musical and art experience, celebrating our togetherness as a Trust, enabling the children to explore their identity and spirit of community. Some themes of the show included; respect, belief, reality of war, remembrance, empathy, acceptance, equality and kindness. The children put so much effort into the rehearsals and sang so beautifully on the night.

Reception have had a brilliant day raising money for Red Nose Day. They got the chance to come to school wearing something red and to buy a red nose and a delicious cake! We talked about how all of the money raised would go to children and families who aren’t as fortunate as we are. Well done Reception!
