In Y3 children have been making papyrus – a type of paper that was first made in Ancient Egypt for writing. The children then decorated their papyrus using oil pastels to produce colourful images of famous Egyptian Gods. The children had a great time and discovered how intelligent the Ancient Egyptians were as they traded with items made from papyrus throughout the Mediterranean.

This year for Comic Relief the children and staff took part by dressing up as superheroes; we had a great day and raised a fantastic £216.00! Well done everybody!
The Y3 children enjoyed a unique World Book Day that involved children learning in school and at home. Children designed masks that represented one of their favourite books and took part in a wide variety of Literacy activities. One of the activities involved learning writing tips from famous authors; I’m sure many of our Y3 children will go on to become fantastic writers in the future!
