Welcome Back!
We hope you have all enjoyed your summer break. We look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday 5th September.
(Nursery and Reception children the start day/time as previously arranged.)
Y1/2 Summer Sport & Well Being Club!
Well done to our Y1 & Y2 who were all brilliant in our summer sport & well being club, despite the wet weather. Wherever possible, we got outside to enjoy a wide variety of games, and whenever we were forced back inside the children were equally positive enjoying indoor activities. I’m sure the club will help many of our children in their transition to the juniors, while it was wonderful fun teaching our talented children. I hope you all have a great summer with your families and enjoy continuing to get active!
Y3/4 Sport & Well Being Club
Well done to our lower juniors who happily launched themselves in to a variety of exciting activities this week. They were all amazing and it was wonderful to see them have a great time!
Sports Day 2023!
Our amazing children put on a magnificent sports day for us all today! Everyone tried their best in their events with a smile; while it was wonderful to see the children supporting their friends throughout our festival of sport. Thank you to our school community who made the event so special by turning up in large numbers on our rearranged date and supporting all the children with great enthuiasm. Sport really does have the power bring us together in a happy, positive ways. Enjoy the summer break with your families and I hope you all enjoy staying active together.
Year 6 Leavers’ Disco
The children in Year 6 enjoyed their final disco at St Bede’s on Tuesday night.
Fun and games, dancing and a treat of a McDonalds. The children (and staff) had a fantastic night!
Year 6 Play: Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies
I think you will all agree that the children did an absolutely fantastic end of year production; ‘Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies’.
The children worked so hard to memorise their lines, learn the dances and show off their acting talents.
Well done Year 6!
Year 4 Ferry Trip
Year 4 spent a lovely afternoon celebrating the Pride of the Tyne, our local ferry’s, 30th birthday last week! We learned about the history of the ferry, had a trip to North Shields and visited the Captain’s control room. The children also received a goody bag of treats from Nexus!
