We have many keen artists in Y3 and they have really enjoyed their Patterns in Nature unit. The inspiration has been the brilliant Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the Art Nouveau era (1890’s to the eve of World War One). The children have explored using a wide range of art and design techniques using colour, pattern, tone, line and shape. They have especially loved painting with watercolours to control tone in their pantings. They have produced some wonderful art that they should all be proud of- well done everyone!
