Yesterday, our school took part in Safer Internet Day 2026, joining thousands of others across the country in exploring this year’s important theme:
‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.’
Across the school, children learned how technology such as artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday life — and how to use it thoughtfully, safely and responsibly. Classes took part in a range of age‑appropriate activities and discussions to help them understand what AI is, where they might encounter it online, and why it’s important to make smart choices when using digital tools.
Safer Internet Day is an important reminder that together — school, families and pupils — we can help children feel confident, informed and empowered in their digital world.
