Year 1 had a wonderful time celebrating National Poetry Day! We started by listening to Michael Rosen’s funny poem Down Behind the Dustbin and enjoyed spotting its repeated structure. The children then had lots of fun joining in with Michael Rosen’s lively performance of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.

To finish our poetry celebrations, we shared a beautiful poem from our new daily poetry book I Am the Seed that Grew the Tree.
