This week, children across Years 1 to 6 took part in exciting and educational First Aid workshops, designed to introduce them to essential lifesaving skills in a fun and age-appropriate way.
Throughout the sessions, pupils explored what they might find in a first aid kit, learning how each item can help in an emergency. They also discovered how to check for a pulse, and were introduced to the basics of CPR.
One of the highlights was learning how to place someone into the recovery position, a vital skill that helps keep an unconscious person safe while waiting for help to arrive. Children worked in pairs and small groups to practice the steps, building confidence and teamwork.
The workshops were hands-on, engaging, and it was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity as they learned how they could help others in a real emergency.
