Reception have had a very exciting day getting dressed up for Halloween! We had a go at carving out pumpkins, making spider webs and ended the day with a fantastic disco!
Top Tag Rugby Teams!
Our two Tag Rugby teams were in top form at the local tournament today; where both sides reached the Play-Off finals. One of our sides fantastically progressed to the District Finals Day (February 2020), while the other bowed out after a pulsating game.
Well done and thank you to both teams for training hard and playing so determinedly today; you were all wonderful to watch!
School Council helping out at the coffee afternoon
Our junior council members did a great job of selling books at the coffee afternoon on Friday. Thank you for all of your help!
Handwashing session in reception
The school nurses came into reception to talk about the importance of washing our hands. We listened to a lovely story, sang a song and talked about when and how to wash our hands properly.

Courageous Cross Country Runners!
A huge well done and thank you to the 29 children who braved the driving rain and put in such whole hearted and determined performances in the Cross Country today! Miss Moffett and I were extremely proud of you all!
There will be a special school assembly connected to the event after half term; but for the time being can I once again say thank you for attending today and for your outstanding performances!
Y3/4 Quicksticks Success!
Congratulations to our five Y3/4 Quicksticks teams who all played fantastically in the District tournament. Superbly, 3 of our sides qualified for the South Tyneside Finals Day (12th November). Everyone played with a lot of skill and determination and we were all very proud of your efforts.
Local Democracy Event at the Town Hall
The year 3 and 4 council members took part in an event at the Town Hall called Staryland; a workshop that allowed them to explore democracy and the election and voting process.
Active Lunchtime!
The Activity Leaders from Y3 have been doing a wonderful job alongside the Lunchtime Supervisors to get the Infants active during the lunch break. It has been wonderful to see so many children smiling and having fun with their friends, as they use the new play equipment.
Summer Sports Club 2019!
The children who attended our summer sport club enjoyed a wide variety of activities and had a lot of fun with their friends. Despite the hot weather, everyone was full of energy and showed brilliant enthusiasm throughout.
