A massive thank you to all our St Bede’s families. We raised an astonishing £919.07 today! We really appreciate all your generosity. Mrs Devine has grand plans for the caretakers house that will hopefully benefit all children and the wider community. We hope the children enjoyed their afternoon; some of the staff certainly did!
Year 6 were over the moon as their hoodies arrived this morning!
We had a fantastic time at Emmaus Youth Village. During our time there we learnt different forms of prayer including sign language, singing and dancing.
We spent a lot of time outside with our friends and enjoyed an ice-cream at the local park.
All the children behaved impeccably and were a delight to spend time with!
St Bede’s has joined the fight to end ‘period poverty’ for schoolgirls. Figures show that 48 per cent of UK girls struggle to pay for their sanitary products. Here at St Bede’s we are involved in The Red Box Project; an initiative that quietly ensures that no young woman misses out on her education because of her period.
Sanitary provisions are available to all students from Mrs Welsh and bins provided in the Year 5/6 toilets.

Some fantastic work was produced by our talented children that we could not see go to waste. It is proudly on show in the junior corridor for all to see.

Year 1 enjoyed a treat this week for best overall attendance in Autumn Term. They watched a movie, had popcorn and chocolate. Well done Year 1!
We had a surprise visitor at St Bede’s this morning. We hope all our children and families have a very Merry Christmas!
Year 6 had an amazing few days in Alston. We pushed ourselves to try each and every activity even though we may have felt nervous or unsure. We were very well behaved and a credit our school!
