For World Peace Day 2026, the Mini Vinnies led a special Celebration of the Word for the whole school. We thought about what peace really means and how we can create peace in our own lives by being kind, forgiving and a positive example to others. We reflected on a story about a child living in conflict in El Salvador and how he used sport, music and dance to bring his community together in solidarity. This helped us live out our Mini Vinnies mission by working for justice and hope, just as Jesus teaches us.

We invited every child in the school to pray for peace each day during our Week of Peace and to create decorations for their classrooms to mark the event.

We also decorated doves with prayers, scripture and messages of peace, which we used to decorate our Creative Prayer Area.
