Our wonderful Reading Ambassadors have already been a fantastic help this term. They recently designed and created St Bede’s book bags for our library visits to The Word. The bags have been very helpful to carry our chosen books back and forth. The Reading Ambassadors also helped run our Book Fair, which raised over £400 in rewards for us to spend on books for our school.

This week, we met to browse the Scholastic website and discuss which books we might like to buy with our rewards points. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the Ambassadors’ conversations! They enthusiastically browsed genres they thought we needed more of, including non-fiction and graphic novels. They browsed for books by authors they knew their peers enjoyed, and remembered to look for books for our younger friends too.

Well done, Reading Ambassadors! I can’t wait to work on some more ideas together soon.
