The children in our school are the most important people. As such, they have lots of opportunities to share their thoughts on school issues.
The School Council is made up of representatives who have been elected by their classmates. Each class from year 1 to year 6 has a boy and a girl representative. The main aim of the School Council is to help to make our school a better place for everyone and to give the children an opportunity to have their opinions and ideas heard. Children in the School Council meet monthly with Miss Dixon to discuss ideas and suggestions. The class representatives tell the children in their classes what has been discussed at each meeting and the children can ask the representative to take forward their ideas to the next meeting.
Our School Council plays an active and positive role at St. Bede’s Primary as well as in the local community.
