Year 3's Super Stone Age Day!

Year 3 had a fantastic day at West Boldon Lodge, travelling back in time to experience life in the Stone Age! The children showed off their brilliant knowledge of the period, really impressing workshop leader Jill.

Working in tribes, they built shelters, practised their archery skills and ground spelt into flour to make bread dough. They also learned how to split wood after discussing the types of tools Stone Age people would have used.

We were especially proud of how well the children worked together. It was wonderful to hear them encouraging one another and cheering their teammates on throughout the day. Well done, Year 3!
