Y3/4 South Tyneside Gymnastics Champions 2026!

Both of our Y3/4 Gymnastics teams enjoyed a special day in the District Finals today; where our B team claimed a superb third place podium finish, while our A side became South Tyneside Champions 2026!

The achievement was made even more remarkable as Year 4 are away on a Retreat, so all but one of our squad were made up from Year 3 or Year 2!

Our children should be very proud of themselves for their composed, skillful performances today; as well as the enthusiasm they have showed in preparing for the event. Meanwhile, it was wonderful to see the team spirit displayed.

Our gymnasts conducted themselves impeccably and showed fantastic humility and sportsmanship with other schools throughout the event.

All of our gymnasts also had a great day exploring a variety of fun activities at the brilliant Urban factory in Hebburn.

The Y3/4 A team will now join our Infant team in representing South Tyneside in the County Finals at Royal Grammar School in Newcastle on the 12th June. The best of luck to both teams!

Thank you to our fantastic parent helpers who really encouraged our children throughout the event! Thank you also to the parents who practised the routine with their children at home - they all did us so proud today!
