This week, Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic visit to The Word library. The children took part in a fun and engaging session all about autumn.

They listened carefully to a selection of autumn-themed stories and discussed the changing season, spotting signs of autumn in the illustrations and sharing their own experiences. The children then showed off their creativity by making their very own hedgehog crafts, which looked fantastic!

To finish the visit, every child had the opportunity to choose a book to bring back to school. As a class, we love reading, and the children were very excited to share their new books with their friends during our independent reading time.

We would like to thank the staff at The Word for making our visit so enjoyable. We had a wonderful morning and left feeling inspired to keep reading and exploring new books! 📚🍂🦔
