Our Infant children enjoyed a fantastic day at Gibside, exploring nature and taking part in a range of exciting outdoor activities.
Reception children completed an Art in Nature activity, looking closely at the different colours, patterns and textures found in the natural environment. Year 1 pupils became mini explorers as they went minibeast hunting, searching for insects and learning about their habitats, while Year 2 enjoyed pond dipping, discovering the fascinating creatures living beneath the water.
The children also had great fun playing together in the adventure play park, developing their confidence, teamwork and physical skills. It was a wonderful day of learning, discovery and laughter.
