South Tyneside CCG and South Tyneside Council have produced some Mental Health Resources. These resources have a range of information and resources to support families during this challenging period.

Children aged 5-7 years old can learn a number of athletics skills in a safe environment with qualified instructors, including jumping, throwing and running. The club is a good way for children to improve balance, coordination and agility while getting fit and having fun.

South Tyneside Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults Boards, in partnership with South Tyneside Council and Northumbria Police, are supporting Internet Safety Day 2019. This will be launched by The Mayor of South Tyneside Mr Ken Stephenson, on Monday 04 February, 10am-12noon at The Word, National Centre for the Written Word, when there will be the opportunity to view the first in a series of video podcasts aimed at supporting parents and carers with keeping children safe online.
Following the launch there are a series of drop in sessions aimed at helping people of all ages to stay safe online, as well as providing a top tips guide for identifying and dealing with internet scams and bogus callers.
