Anti-Bullying Week 2019

Anti-Bullying Week happens in schools across England each November. This year’s Anti-Bullying Week has the theme ‘Change Starts With Us’ and is happening from Monday 11th November – Friday 15th November 2019.

To kick-start ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ the school council delivered a whole school assembly about how making small, simple changes, we can break the cycle and create a safe environment for everyone.

When it comes to bullying ‘CHANGE STARTS WITH US!’

Today the children wore their odd socks to school to mark ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ and to celebrate what makes us all different and unique.

Fundraising for Comic Relief

This year for Comic Relief the School Council decided that they wanted everyone to come to school wearing something red. The Council also sold Red Noses throughout the day and managed to raise a fantastic £253 for Comic Relief! Well done to all involved!

Odd Socks Day for Anti-Bullying

This year the School Council decided that they wanted to take part in ‘Odd Socks Day’ to mark the first day of Anti-Bullying Week 2018. The Council also chose to host a whole school assembly all about this years theme – ‘Choose Respect’. 

 

 

Infant Playground

The School Council’s project for the spring and summer terms are to help to create a more active and fun playground for the infant children. The school’s PTA have raised money through movie nights and other events, so the children were asked to look through some catalogues to find equipment for the yard.
